1. Brushing Your Teeth
Brushing your teeth is the foundation of good dental care. Therefore, brush your teeth thoroughly at least twice a day with a (electric) toothbrush and fluoride toothpaste. Brush thoroughly for at least two minutes to ensure you remove all plaque. Use a toothbrush with soft bristles to prevent gum damage and replace it every three months.
2. Flossing
At least once a day, clean the spaces between your teeth and molars using interdental brushes, dental sticks, or dental floss. These spaces cannot always be cleaned effectively with a (electric) toothbrush. Do you have any questions? We are happy to advise you on the correct way to floss.
3. Rinse with Mouthwash
After brushing and flossing, rinse for 30 seconds with antibacterial mouthwash. Antibacterial mouthwash reaches the entire mouth and kills any bacteria that can cause plaque or bad breath.
4. Check-up
Visit your dentist twice a year to have your oral health checked. By attending regular periodic check-ups, you prevent potential issues such as wear, inflammation, and tooth decay. Your dentist can also advise you on the correct oral care for your teeth.
